AUDACITY OF FAITH TAKES INTERNATIONAL STAGE FOR THE SECOND TIME

Pete Dalton Sesay, popularly known as Petros Dalton is the second son to Rev. Dr. Philip Sesay of the Wesleyan Mission and a former employee of The Evangelical College of Theology (TECT). The name Pete is a variant of the English name Peter, which comes from the Greek Petros, meaning "Rock” as was describe in the bible by Jesus that upon this Rock He would build His church.

Pete Dalton started his music career in the year 1996 but was able to develop his career into professional level in the year 2001 with the Levite Band which he was a core member of. He later became a member of the Wesley Knight in 2006 as well as been a co-convener of the Christ-Like Generation Community Choir and also the founder of the Morning dew a group that is in existence till date.

In 2018, Pete vision was to host his first solo concert as a way to commemorate his 19 years journey in the music community and this event was schedule to take place in 2019. Speaking to this medium, he explained that:

“My friend and manager, Berlindo Percival Deigh, asked me three simple questions:

  • What is the theme of the event? At that point, I was thinking "I Am Petros.
  • How will that theme resonate with the experience people will have?
  • What experience are you hoping people will have at your first concert?

I realized "I Am Petros" didn't convey an experience. I wanted something different, not the regular or usual—something people hadn't experienced before. Berlindo suggested "something unusual," and thus, PETROS UNUSUAL was born. This theme evolved into a brand name because I always aspire to be significantly different from what people are used to."

He further went on to set the record straight on the transition from Petros Unusual to The Audacity of Faith Concert”

“After 2019, God did not lay the desire for another concert in 2020 on my heart. However, in 2020, He revealed that my next concert would be in 2022. My audio-visual editor even designed the teaser and date for 2022. My wife once remarked on how opportunities seem to come to me and how doors I wasn't knocking on would open. Reflecting on her words, I realized that these things happen because of my faith in God. My faith comes from knowing Him, which gives me confidence even when odds are stacked against me.

God then told me that this is the level of faith He wants His people to have. Thus, the AUDACITY OF FAITH REVIVAL CONCERT was born with the theme "I Dare to Believe." It was meant to go beyond music, transforming hearts through testimonies and Scriptures. At each concert, unbelievers are called to give their lives to Christ.

In 2023, we hosted the Audacity of Faith again in Sierra Leone with the theme "The Tenacity to Believe," focusing on G.R.A.C.E. Worship—Gratitude, Repentance, Acknowledgment, Confession, Exaltation.”

While speaking on the Audacity of Faith Concert, he reiterated the importance of the extension of such event to the United State of America, highlighting the benefit it will bring to the gospel community in Sierra Leone:

“Before the 2022 Audacity of Faith, God revealed that this concert would mark the rebirth of my music ministry on a larger scale. My family prayed with me and accepted the call. Even before the concert in Sierra Leone, God revealed that the next concert would be in the USA. After the Sierra Leone concert, I flew to the USA to plan for the summer. However, God had other plans. We ended up organizing a VIP concert in the winter of 2023, which grew from 20 guests to 85. By summer, we had three concert venues: June 18 in Philadelphia, June 24 in Maryland, and July 4 in Briggs Chaney.

This year, 2024, we returned to the USA for the Audacity of Faith and the Tehillah Worship Experience. Pastor Alim, a mentor since 2004, and I discussed partnering with other Gospel musicians to organize worship events. This year, God gave us the privilege to set an example with the theme "Unified Worship." We formed a mass choir for the event, hosted in the Metro Points Hotel Royal Ballroom in Maryland, attracting people from New Jersey, Philadelphia, and Virginia.

In February, we plan to host the same event in The Gambia. We also have plans for Canada and other nations. God has revealed that through this ministry, many Sierra Leonean Gospel musicians will join us in the us as missionaries. God is doing great things in our midst.”

This year’s Audacity of Faith and Tehillah Intentional Worship in the USA will feature Nigerian born Music Superstar, Pianist and Yamaha Brand Ambassador Wole Oni.
